Mashpi Lodge prides itself on providing guests with a totally immersive cloud forest experience. The architectural design, including that of the restaurant, places the forest front and center in all that you see and sense. The lodge attempts to do the same with its cuisine, inspired by both traditional Ecuadorian and international gastronomy. Working with locally sourced ingredients such as sugar cane cultivated in the area, Mashpi Lodge grows its own herbs like mountain garlic, and chillangua, a relative of cilantro. Deliciously-named cocktails like the Golden Tanager and the Ornate Rainfrog Mojito created by in-house mixologists provide the perfect end to a day of adventure.
