Angel Paz is a birding celebrity. He has attained what no other bird-lover has: he calls birds out from the jungle by their first names. Of course, he gave them these names, but the birds have certainly adopted them graciously. Spectacularly rare antpittas come to his hand to feed, as Angel has identified a groundbreaking technique, which has even been exported to Colombia!). Visit him at his nature reserve (a turn-off at km. 66 on the Calacalí – La Independencia highway).
